Biografia
I'm a retired computer programmer and a life-long fan of guitar music of all kinds, but my musical heart is in jazz and jazz/rock fusion. Some of my favorite guitarists are Larry Coryell, Scott Henderson, David Gilmour, Steve Howe, Chuck Loeb, Jeff Beck, Robben Ford, Al DiMeola, and Steve Morse. And many more.
As far as my musical background goes, I started playing the guitar in high school. I studied classical guitar for two or three years early on, which was very helpful for learning to read music and for good guitar technique. Then I've had various teachers over the years, but mostly just screwed around for decades without much forward progress. A few years before I retired I started taking lessons again from a local jazz teacher, and for the past three years with him we've been digging deep into all the stuff I so successfully avoided learning during my working years.
I am thrilled to have discovered wikiloops and this international community of musicians. I consider myself very lucky to have lived long enough and in good enough health to have made it to retirement, and that my new "career" is making music.
