Fretless bass line to this nice bossa of Luis (Tyros4) we both share admiration for Eliane Elias, one of the best singers and bossa nova composers

Many thanks Ernie!! that bass is really impressive, I have to make some adjustments and maybe a luthier work to level the fretboard well and apply an epoxy layer, but with the current configuration in active mode and DI box has an impressive sound; the sustain is really awesome (tr quadralock system to join the body and neck)

hey ... cool, good idea on the epoxy layer and getting the neck perfect .. epoxy will change the tone a bit, thanks for the info :) I'd like to do that with my atk so I could use roundwounds for that mwahhh sound ;) Very cool bro!!

I now use roundwounds on the Ibanez, but with epoxy I think it would sound better without damaging the fretboard, however for domestic use and playing softly does not damage too much the wood fretboard

It's a really nice track but a shame there's no room for anyone else as Tyros solo's throughout the whole track....I guess that's fine but it would be nice if he just comped for a minute or two.....

Yes that would appear to be the case....the tracks I have added to from Luis have been where I've just played over the top of his soloing which works sometimes....I just wish he'd leave some space...unless he just wants the trio thing in which case he's got his wish.
