Eventually it will play the way I want it to, hopefully. Another 1mm should do the trick. The guitar does not have an adjustable truss rod so all adjustments have to be made at the saddle and at the nut. Makes it kind of difficult.

FrankieJ It is at a stage that I must be very careful. If I go too far then will have to replace the saddle and start over.
thank you titi:)

FrankieJ Trust me. I'm nervous about it. I got backup parts:D
It is my only full bodied nylon with sound hole. It has a much warmer sound un-amplified that gets lost here. Once adjusted to my liking I plan to spend time trying to mic it to capture that warmth.
thanks Oli:)

OliVBee a sm57 in front of an amp is legendary but to be honest ? i would never use that mic for an acoustic ... +2

FrankieJ Checked out some large diaphragm mic's online. They can get expensive.
Might ask Santa for the AKG P220. It is more in my price range.

LittleWing I use an AKG 170 (Small Diaghram Condensor)angled at the soundhole.
That mic is usually on the "Best Mics for Acoustic" lists.I love it. They retail $100.I take the piezo and run it thru a LR Baggs Session Acoustic D.I. which I use mostly for hi pass , comp, a notch EQ around 130hz.Then I blend it.
I do like this guy:

I used it on this track...https://www.wikiloops.com/backingtrack-jam-145794.php

LittleWing Just out of curiosity...what is your acoustic mike setup , Olive? Im a huge admirer of your acoustic sound. I think its big, bold and clean.. +0

OliVBee
OliVBee I have an AT4033 which sounds wonderful allthough a lil bit noisy, A Shure KSM32 which is in almost any acoustic take to name a couple ... I also have a stereo set of Rode NT5 which are cool but i didn't find how to set them up ideally yet ! Often i'll use a single mic roughly pointing at the 14th for a take and sometimes i'll go with two or more for a more defined sound (mostly to capture more of the playing energy)
Add to that a SPL Goldmike that i'm not systematicly using and you've got my setup roughly ! no secrets no muffled room no quietcab just my living room with hardfloors and furniture and windows yanno ? :D

FrankieJ Sounds nice. Even more in my price range. I have 0 experience mic'ing the acoustic so much to learn. In sessions someone who knew what they were doing handled all of that.

For years with the electrics live my sm57 was simply hung over the cab. Didn't use a mic stand most of the time.

Thanks for the tip Joe :)

OliVBee there are many not so expensive options Frankie ! whatever your budget might be my best advice would be to always pick good cables ;) ... hollar at me if you need help to make up your mind for a new mic :) +2

LittleWing Yes ! Lets go on a Black Friday shopping spree with Frankies money! Yay!

Actually cant say Ive used a ribbon recently and Olive would know much more then me but I do know they are warm and full sounding.Frank, you may want to look into one instead of the dual mike or blended signal thing.Im more a fan of mono instruments in the mix. Ribbons are very full and natural sounding with presence. It has me interested enough I may look into them after my fretless onboard preamp project.

Also Frank. I had a custom saddle made in Britain by a gent named Chris Alsop. He makes Ivory nuts and saddles from legal fossilized Wooly Mammoth Tusks. You can look him up. I asked him what the most commen saddle heights were and he said: "2.3mm on lowE (bass E) at the 12th fret and about 1.8mm for high E ." that is measured bottom of string to the top of 12th fret. That is his most requested saddle lowering measurement.
