I discovered TekMetal's former works in the archives and was blown away. Odd-time, high speed, scattered yet organized, I've been looking to record one. This is a real odd-time track and I cut it up a bit to lengthen it. As I was recording, you'll hear near the end I simply drop out - I CANT READ THAT FAST!! Hahahaha, so I just faded it out so you all wouldn't hear the train crash at the end. Wherever you went ...

JoeOnBass Hey Ernie. When I was a teenager, the Berklee years, I played around Connecticut with the guys in Fates Warning and I really got into the technical metal stuff, I love it to this day. Frank Aresti was incredible, IS incredible. They do really odd-timed pieces and stuff that's a real workout. I tried to edit this track to get some 4/4 time into it and cut down the 9/8 stuff, then mixed it together. I mapped it out, it was easy to nail it down in motifs per section but i just couldn't keep up with it. At the end I dropped out of the motif and tried to come back in, just after it fades I recorded a literal train wreck so I faded it out. The actual piece I did was 4 minutes long, this minute and a half is the only part that sounded good, lol. I suck, hahahaha. thanks you for the listen and the kind words. I might try to re-do it later but I have to wait for the swelling to go down in my hand, lol. +0

Ernie440 Cool, I'm getting some insight why you like this tricky stuff. Yeah it's an amazing work out and a challenge from what I've experienced with my little bit of dabbling here on the loops. Probably would have NEVER even indulged in some metal style if not for this place. haha you don't suck, far from it .. LOL You're probably a bit of a perfectionist ... you rocked this section that you allowed us to hear .. hehe!! Fantastic Joe! +1

JoeOnBass It was nuts. I tried to keep up, I'd have to sit with it for a couple of days but man, that TekMetal guy shreds. Thanks for the kind compliment. :-) +1
