JoeOnBass Many thanks. I ran without any real effect channel, cut the single coil on the Musicman and got this really heavy bass, I was really just trying to avoid finger slide sounds, no midrange cut, just big fat bass, now that I listen again it's not as bad to me. :-) +1

SoulFingers It really sounds good. When i started recording i was surprised how deep even a P bass sounds if directly plugged in without any EQing/effects. Finger slides (if not too loud) go under within the mix i think... +1
