10pm in lock down

I took a close look at the clock tonight
It's 10pm the night is still very young
Strolled downtown cause all moths seek the light
A million clubs did wait for me to come along

I pushed against the first door calling out
Hey - come in Pat, join for a beer
I Expected music, dirty and loud
But nothing happened here

Ok it's rest day I thought thoroughly
I need to go ahead and find a warmer light
So excited what comes up for me
I was sure tonight would be the very night!

20m down the avenue
The next door baited me to knock on oaken wood
Look through the windows - yawning emtiness, man this is new
And slowly I understood
