Rêver au-delà des ombres
De ce qui nous est familier
Dans la poussière des décombres
Pauvre farine d’un mauvais blé.

A « chat perché » dedans son arbre
Forêt d’adieux sans « au-revoir »
Où chaque tronc dessine une arme
En hallebarde contre l'espoir.

Est-ce bien là le cœur du monde ?
Dans la lumière de nos écrans
Aux rumeurs qui s’enflent et qui grondent
De parodies, de faux-semblants.

J’attends du vent d’autres oiseaux,
L’eau d’une pluie, des jours nouveaux

Mes idées noires font du trapèze
Au zénith d’un chapiteau
Funeste magie, sortilèges
Comme tombés d’un chapeau.

Je crains du ciel des temps d’orage
Des feux de foudre et des outrages

Tombent les larmes au front de l’homme
En cœurs de rubis sur le sol
Quand le cortège chante et sonne
La voix d’un juste qu’on immole

Fil d’ariane au dévidoir
La sortie sera pour ce soir
Labyrinthe d’incertitude
Non-résolu par lassitude

Et dans un lieu plein de silence
Je croise les doigts devant moi.

Ariadne's thread on the reel
The exit will be tonight
Labyrinth of uncertainty
Unresolved by weariness

And in a place full of silence
I cross my fingers in front of me.
