The weekend should be fun I know, people to see and places to go.
No more work and no more school, chatting, chilling \'round the pool.
Happy days and balmy nights, music, dancing, flashing lights.
Looking good and feeling great, money to spend, a special date
Weekends used to be like that but lately my weekends are flat.
Friends are busy, don\'t answer my shout, I don\'t know what that\'s all about.
It used to be a riot now my weekend is very quiet.

Sunday\'s a drag, I watch TV, I eat and sleep, there\'s no-one to see.
There is no point in dressing up, I just refill my coffee cup.
Movies, songs and reminiscing \'bout the good times I am missing.
Starts on Friday \'til Monday through, four days drudge of feeling blue.
Mid-week action ain\'t for me, not like the weekends used to be.

The weekend kinda sucks for me, wondering where you might be.
They go on indefinitely, I wish I had a remedy
For putting you out of my mind closure\'s proving hard to find
I see you around three days a week, we hardly smile, we never speak.
