Took a little time today and recorded my semi-hollow electric guitar with a microphone, which I normally would not do. I had read an article about how some jazz guitarists would do this technique to lessen the bass frequencies and give more room for other instruments to carry the low end while maintaining a constant rhythmic flow. ___I included a Rhythm only version as well. Excellent jam and technical record... Some musicians and bass players record their instruments with a line output directly to the sound card and then a second take to the sound card, just like you do with the microphone (on acoustic basses and acoustic or semi-hollow guitars).;) +1

SunnyJazz86 Yes, that is a great way! I'm always so curious on how they captured so much soul back in those analog days. The digital days have taken a lot of the "rasp" out of the warm sounds and open mic concepts. +1
