Looking for Emily

0Her world was made of butterflies, each one a different land. The day a glow of Summer skies that she held in her hand, the future then that seemed so sweet and shimmered in the sun, left melting softly in the heat, another life undone. Her world was light as
gossamer, as fragile as a dream, she felt she wasn’t one of us, apart, alone, unseen. She just wanted to disappear and slowly fade away, does anybody think of her, sweet Emily, today...Her tears are made of silver leaving trails across her face, and she just feels bewildered by the world, this human race that never ever seems to end, what goal is there to chase, She burned so brightly, no-one cared, she couldn’t find her place… But someone took away her air, she finds it hard to breathe, and now she’s falling in despair, there’s no-one
left to grieve. The oxygen she needed, all gone without a trace, but you can see those silver tears like rain, upon her face. (Shi 2015)
