GlezBass If I use this fretless bass strings flatwound type in another that I have I use roundwounds and there is some difference in tone and sustain. I had an electric upright bass time and I loved touching but ended with forearm pain in each session, so I became a "virtual upright" with the fretless playing with some EQ and effect of Pandora Stomp (valve effect) +1

GlezBass I forgot to tell you the Cort Fretless has a prior Marcus Miller perhaps also helps to have that tone at low frequencies +1

Ernie440 Well your fretless play is very very good here ... I put flatwounds on a couple fretless that have the rosewood, but I do have an Ibanez fretless with a resin coated fretboard that I have roundwounds on... looking forward to trying it on Wikiloops. Yes, pain is no good when you're playing, I tried an electric upright before and it felt very awkward and really ... not worth the trouble, might as well have a real upright. Good stuff my friend!! :) +1

I have had some success at getting an upright sound by using my line 6 pod combined with with another bass effect in GarageBand +1

GlezBass The technology allows things like my friend, fretless bass anyway but has its own sound, can approach the mode of playing an upright bass by not having the frets, although a good upright is inimitable +1

Girard Yes sir you are over there somewhere by the drummer, maybe to the left and out toward the front a bit a few feet lol. Oli is on a stool WAY OUT in front almost falling off the front edge. +2
