Hello folks, it's your fishy royal doomsday King, but don't worry, no doom to report today. At ease!!

*Yesterday I had a scare. Water was a bit murky. I was minding my own royal business when, at the rear corner of my left eye, I thought I saw a snake following me. The faster I swam the faster he swam. I turned left he turned left. I wend down he went down. I started to pray to Poseidon to have mercy on me. But I am still alive!! Im ALIVE!!!
*Turns out it was my own tail. Luckily nobody saw that other than two crustaceans.
*I quickly ate the two crustaceans just to be sure they don't talk about it to other fish. Embarrassing. When I was a wee Herring Prince my father told me: "...A dead crustacean does not talk. Always remember that, fish son".
*Coming to think of it, I would have eaten the two crustaceans anyway, because that's what I eat anyway.
*I ate a lot of Krill. I always eat Krill when I am scared. Or bored. Or exited. Or anxious. Or when I find Krill. Or when hungry.
*Watched the series "H2O: Just Add Water" for the 12th time. It's a reality show.

That's it for today. It's Friday, so I think I will eat some Krill for a change.

Don't you just love TeeGees fishy celebrity, I think everybody should have a non human alter ego... I would be a seagull and poop on anyone from on high :)

* I've been pumping out vocal adds all day, I'm on a roll.... a rock 'n' roll! There's just so many great templates coming up it's so hard to choose.

* A man rang my doorbell at lunch time, he saw me through the glass so I had to open the door. He was all smiley, trying to be friendly, but I was quite rude to him and said "I'm in the middle of my lunch now so unless you're delivering something I'm shutting the door" I shut it literally in his face as he stood outside, still talking :( Oh well, I doubt I'll see him again and I couldn't let my Chicken Hotpot become a Chicken Coldpot could I! I can be pretty ruthless if someone upsets my routine :D

There was a winter market in the city center. I didn't buy anything, but it's always nice when something happens in a small town.

I miss events. Maybe in the summer I will go to a rock festival with my oldest son.

Unfortunately, every festival has bad bands, but maybe I'll go anyway. The last time I was at a rock concert was a couple of years ago, so it's been too long. I have to admit that I would love to drink a few beers and listen to rock.

(The Netflix series of the day was an American primeval, which I really liked.)

I'm not a lover of Saturdays because all you get on TV in the morning is Cooking Shows, Kids Shows, Cartoons, and repeats of US sitcoms I've seen 100 times.

I've been all over the place with music today - tried to record a Country vocal (rubbish) then I added to a lovely mix which already had a gazillion remixes from the original template. Finally I found two productions - one stupid and one really nice - couldn't decide which to upload so I merged them both together. (I just red flagged it myself, it wasn't right for this place)

As I was walking back from the shops with a carrier bag in each hand I noticed my shadow ahead of me.... The shape looked just like my old Mum used to look, what a scary realisation that I'm getting old :(

Football at 2 pm tomorrow against Tottenham, not too optimistic about that.

The headache ruined my day, but luckily I was able to record 2 songs the day before the pain started.

But I'm ashamed that I didn't have time to listen to other people's songs because I can't look at my computer screen. It's too bright!

The best joke of the day came from Shamika, who was frightened by the chaos of my song. However, I hope you can sleep tonight and I didn't ruin your night :)

Hurray :W, we actually beat Tottenham Hotspurs this afternoon so we ended our 7 game losing streak :)

* I had a baked sweet potato with tuna mayo topping followed by chocolate and caramel pudding, tasty!
* A short walk on a route that takes me past a corner shop which for some reason always gives me a nice feeling, I think it's the warm lighting inside.
* I started a thread about depression but immediately had second thoughts and deleted it. Maybe it's not something people want to add to but I'm sure it's something that affects arty folk more than most.
* I uploaded a song with some Norwegian lyrics so it was nice to get feedback from Slin/Nils :)
* I hope Aito's headache goes soon, he's a good fan of my crazy assortment of uploads.
* My youtube songs seem popular but I think the high number of views is just because they start to play after someone else's music.

Monday again soon, I like Mondays.... most people prefer Friday :)

The best Wikiloops moment of the day was when Mika played drums on a song I had played bass on.

It's a song that didn't get a drum track when I published it earlier. I even have my own version of it as a ringtone on my phone, I loved it so much. Well now the song has drums, so now everything is fine. 🙂

I didn't have a headache today, I'm just afraid of tomorrow's weather. Everywhere there was water on top of the old ice and next night it will be freezing. I think I'll put on the hockey gear tomorrow if I go out.

The new Wikiloops World Map made me think that it would be fun to see what kind of "studios" people make songs in. Maybe I'll take a picture of myself tomorrow when I make a new song.🤔

*long weekend, was busy most of the time, did watch some NFL football though
*was going to respond to a post i saw earlier, but i see it's gone...i think it was about depression/anxiety/etc
*i have a zoom meeting at 9:05am, so have a few minutes more to finish up my little diary/log :)
*Shamika got me thinking about spacing and lyrics. also made me think of the timing within a 4 count. i have a tendency to come in on the 2, not the 1, although sometimes for the chorus, i will come in on the 1. just odd thoughts in my head :D
*the new map feature is cool, it's an interesting 'connection'. i'm further on the west side of the map so my 'web' looks like i'm shooting it across the globe :)<3
*been thinking about fellow looper Carlomac (Carlo), recently did a song that reminded me of his playing and style. he hasn't posted in some time.
*well, i better get back to work, it's monday!

I should have closed down for the evening before now but there were so many remixes involving my vocals so I had to check them all out. It's such a delight when you get some lovely comments and interest here so thank you to all and I hope I haven't missed anyone :)
I moved my pc again because the 'thing' in the attic was scaring me, it was so noisy I could hear it on my vocal recordings :(
Nighty night, see you tomorrow <3

I didn't write in diary yesterday because I fell asleep while watching a movie. Let's fix that now.

-I went to the gym, where I was helping my friend squat. It's a scary thing, because my friend is one of the strongest men in Europe. What could I do if the weights dropped while squatting? I don't think I could catch those weights.

-I made one song. I was recording a metal song until I noticed Shamika's cheerful cow song. It really made me smile, so I recorded a bass track for it.

-I looked more closely at the Wikiloops map. It is strange that there are few members from Nordic countries. The good thing is that I don't want Finnish internet culture on Wikiloops. I know my own level as a player anyway, I don't need internet trolls to tell me that.

Well, I guess that's not just a Finnish problem. I bet every country has the same problem.

-Three hours of Escrima training today. I think I'll be playing bass all morning. I love playing the bass, even when I get frustrated. I feel like I'm not learning anything new. I know it's a thought that isn't true, but as a feeling it's annoying.

Blessed be all who support Arsenal....ups, sorry, wrong diary...

Been going through my list of unfinished tracks over the last few days and there are more than I thought. No wonder my hard disk is full. Started archiving finished tracks and was surprised to find that quite a few took up more than 10 gb of disk space. Apparently deleting tracks/channels in Studio One only removes them from view but doesn't physically delete them. There is a separate functionality for that. Surprise: That freed up 70% of disk space, which basically means that I recorded 70% unused junk. Goal for this year: Set the bar to 50%.

Found an unfinished track to which I had added bass last year but which sounded incomplete. Added some keys and then made a mess of the mix. Sent the stems to our riffmaster Mr. Rootshell who applied some mixing magic and even added some nice vocals. #309730

Pondering the question of if I want to play live again, join real or virtual bands or do something else altogether. Not sure yet, suppose time will tell.

*yesterday, i mentioned i was thinking about fellow looper Carlo (Carlomac), well, i connected with him, he seems to be doing well :W
*slept fairly good last night, i guess that's good
*reading Thomas' post about playing live, man, not sure i can do that again, at least in a band type of way, where you practice and get together and prep for gigs. i'm too spoiled, playing at home, without lugging around physical equipment, my back thanks me in advance
*singing in a lower tone is harder than i thought it would be, probably because i don't do often, those control muscles aren't there
*didn't cook last night, had Taco Bell instead, steak nacho fries :)
*one of my VST Reaper plugins has been having issues after an update, it never loads and gives an error now, luckily it's not one i use a lot
*was a cold evening last night and some kids were just sitting across the street on the curb, in the dark. sorta had my eye on them, was odd.
*time to put on a pot coffee :W

*went to the gym yesterday although I had a bad muscle ache on my legs from my previous session a couple of days ago. Yes I do leg days unlike many others I see with their spaghetti legs.
*did 4.5 k of running, then went to the pull up bar. I have a goal set for this year to be able to do 3 x 10 pull ups in good form.
*noticed a young healthy looking ~ 25 year old guy, about my height, muscular build, struggle to do 3.
*That spurned me on to do 11 (!) while he was watching. Take that young man, there is still life left in this almost 60 year old dude :W W:
*So I did 11 + 7 + 6 - getting there. Slow progress but...yes.
*Did upper body exercises while enjoying the view.
*wondered what everyone would say if men would wear the same thin body hugging clothes as the girls do. I mean those things where you can see everything. I guess they would call the police if someone shows up in a Speedo or Borat style shorts. Not me though. I am old school. Baggy trousers.

A very quick entry today because I'm having dizzy spells - pretty sure it's from wearing headphones all day and listening to heavy Rock music. Thanks to those of you who are still contributing, it's always so interesting to read your stuff. <3

- I made one song today. It's not worth listening to, it's just terrible noise.

-Tomorrow I'm going to the gym. However, I'm not going to train my legs, even though the forum recommended it. Sweating is not part of my training.

-I can't go to sleep, I'm scared. For some reason my cat hates me and stares at me all the time.

- I'd really like to go to sleep, but I'm on overdrive. In the evening there were three hours of Escrima training

Been quite busy the last few days.
I Like to make things aspecialy of wood. The problem is when I do that with the joy to do it there is also the pain in my hands and back. But if I 'm giving in to that I have to stop making
music working in my garden and life would quit boring. So I got some brances from a friend and made a new design after a few days of sawing, gluing and trying it out, it worked. willow branches, eucaliptus wood and even a honeysuckle twig with the right curve came in handy. Always a challenge to use existing shapes in the design.

When I combine images and music during a performance (visual sound journey), it is useful if you can easily reach everything, because you have to change instruments, because I am standing something at a height is useful. The most difficult thing is always that everything has to be able to be taken apart and I succeeded. The base is what I made for my lythophone, which you can fold. As soon as I have the right branches again, I will make a new one that one them. But it can also change the base of course.
So here it is

Didn't go out today, apart from bringing the bin in :D I was still feeling unbalanced, I think I may have an ear problem. I don't have any speakers so I have to listen on headphones all the time and Rock is usually very loud. So I went through some quieter stuff today.

I need to do some file weeding - I have 327 files with about 20 tracks in each, if my maths is correct that's over 6,000 plus 552 videos. At my peak I was producing a song every day - many of those were c**p however :(

Oddly, I don't have many photos on file, I don't have a camera now. At one time I was into photography with a real camera, light meter, lenses etc, and I did the developing myself in a little box room with a red light bulb :)

My new glasses arrive tomorrow, they should see me through the week Doh!

*heard some good grooves on the 'loops today :W
*i need to take some time and clean out my guitars and get the strings changed...they are getting 'noisy'
*went for a coffee walk with one of my co-workers, was good catching up with him

that's all for now!

Nearly 2am. Just finished adds to a 7min epic that Lord DanDiplo had created. Took me a couple of hours to get piano, strings and synth sounds aligned. Each on its own was fine but taken together....but it came out ok in the end.

Arsenal won in the Champions League which lifted my mood after a long day of work and planning hospital visits for my parents.

Started watching Counterparts again even though I know every scene and dialoge by heart now. But the premise of the series still gets me every time.

- Yesterday was a quiet day at Wikiloops. I got three comments, 2 likes and the songs were listened to 3 times. Well, I wasn't active either.

-I did legs in the gym, although yesterday I wrote differently in the diary. I no longer follow TeeGee's instructions, my leg hurts now. 😂

-I started practicing chin-ups again. I won't be able to challenge Teegee's 3×10 but that doesn't matter.

-One of my favorite bands is coming to Finland in the fall. I was trying to think of where I could get money for concert tickets at this point of the month.

- I have enough money for concert tickets. Now I just have to think who will come with me to watch the concert.
