Have a go at those Big Interview questions yourself here (and more)

1) Is your musician (or wikiloops) 'persona' the same as the everyday YOU?

2) What language (of songs) do you mostly listen to (or perform in) ?

3) What physical activity do you take part in regularly ?

4) What is your preferred instrument to play (and to hear) ?

5) When did you realise that wikiloops was somewhere you liked to hang out ?

6) If you built your own website (non-musical) what would the subject be ?

7) If you wrote a biography of someone you admired, who would that be ?

8) How far have you traveled from your home town ?

9) Do you enjoy cooking ? (if so, what)

10) Do you enjoy gardening ? (if so, why)

11) If you had more time and money how would you spend both ?

I think that will do for now :)

Here we go :D

1) Is your musician (or wikiloops) 'persona' the same as the everyday YOU?
Yes, absolutely. With me, what you see is what you get, for good or worse.

2) What language (of songs) do you mostly listen to (or perform in) ?
English

3) What physical activity do you take part in regularly ?
I go to the gym 3 times a week, running + weights, and sometimes running for 5 k in the woods

4) What is your preferred instrument to play (and to hear) ?
I am a guitarist through and through, so a lot of music I listen to is guitar based.

5) When did you realise that wikiloops was somewhere you liked to hang out ?
After I found it and uploaded the first track, I was hooked.

6) If you built your own website (non-musical) what would the subject be ?
Classic Motorcycles - I am a motor head for sure :D

7) If you wrote a biography of someone you admired, who would that be ?
Man, that's so difficult, there are so many people I admire in Sports and Music, can't choose

8) How far have you traveled from your home town ?
I have traveled all over, from Australia, Asia and USA to Iceland, and lived for longer periods in 4 different countries.

9) Do you enjoy cooking ? (if so, what)
Nooooo! Just eating ;)

10) Do you enjoy gardening ? (if so, why)
Not specifically, I have a huge garden, and if I do engage in garden maintenance I prefer to do it with motorized tools. Our gardein is more like a park with bushes and trees. I grew up farming, so I am more interested in tractors and machinery instead of manicuring the lawn. :W

11) If you had more time and money how would you spend both ?
I need more classic motorcycles and cars and guitars, I love fixing them and would spend it all on these.

1. No I am nothing like my online persona. One wikilooper has met me offline and they did not anticipate me although we had a great day together in Helen Georgia.

2.Having been a world traveler I can listen to any language and understand bits and pieces. I can speak some German, French and Italian enough to where I can communicate the basics.

3.I am a natural lap swimmer

4. Acoustic guitar is my first choice usually

5. There is a song somewhere called “Are You Serious?” I did with Tof. It was quite something for me on bass and it brought back alot of things I had thought I had forgotten. Probably 2015. That song made me realize music will always be my leisure activity . Sold the golf clubs and ditched whatever money pit hobby’s I had and made music my sole hobby after that one .Kept my fishing rods though.

6. My website would be based on the Bulletproof Executive. A website of life hacks that make your life better . Everything and anything that saves you time, cuts other peoples bullshit , heightens awareness, vitamins for specific ills and ailments…etc…

7. I want to write a book on Nicholi Tesla specifically how he is better than Thomas Edison and how he makes Thomas Edison look like a fat bozo clownass. The world needs to hear the story how Tesla killed Edison’s scheming assistant then he blinded Edison in one eye . Edison had it coming.

8. Since 20 years of age I have travelled the world an estimated three times over.
I left Chicago and have never looked back . I no longer have any connections there and do not wish to return. The world is and was my home . I was a road warrior rock star Gypsy for 30 years and have seen many wonders.I have met brilliant people.

9. Fancy myself the chef. Specialties include handmade Chicago deep dish pizza from scratch and have been told I have made one of the best hamburgers various people have ever had which I’m very humbled and honored by. I can whip up chicken or eggplant Parmsian or Indian Sag Paneer. Other than the music studio , the kitchen gets alot of time and money invested into it . I make the best chicken soup as well thanks to mom. I have killer Fish and Chips. Don’t do desserts. I do want to try that exotic blowfish that only 8 chefs in the world are licensed to prepare . Failure to cut the toxin gland results in death. Yeah I’ll try that.

10. I am currently fall planting tulips and crocus as well as Hostas . I am also currently planting dormant B52 Venus flytraps. B52 are a very large specimen . They should be eating stray dogs and small children by spring.

11.?I’m good and always have been . I would do nothing I am not already doing . I’ve been homeless and have had over a million in the bank . Doesn’t matter I don’t think about money so it comes to me easily when I want something .Life just gives me what I need always. There nowhere I haven’t been and life has never denied me an opportunity to experience something. I also have a badass guardian Angel who has my back always. I have everything I could want. Money is a pretty bird. It will come to you looking for affection but when you become possessive it flees.
I think I’m also good with time and accomplishments up to this point .

12. Too many questions.

Thank you TeeGee and LittleWing. You have quite a few differences but travel, fitness and music seem to link you. I have to disagree that there's too many questions LW, the problem is the length of your answers :( but never stop talking, it's so interesting.

More please, I'm sure Dick will be reading your answers too :)

I read the questions for this survey, but nothing interesting came up. Then, later in the evening, I was reminded of this bit of pop errata...

Big interview?
Big amount of work on Shamikas end, I really only talked for some 30 minutes :)
Happy to see some seem to enjoy the format, but really stepping by here to say thanks and give a "sh**tload" of credit to Shamika for putting this together <3

So Dick… you said you would like to do some teaching things. Is there a local school by you with a decent band department you can maybe talk to them and maybe develop something online here where the kids play or maybe build a song together? Im sure they would be thrilled a local person has a global website for musicians. Try a local school first and have the kids come on here . I’d donate to a local schools music program. The only thing is how to introduce them all to recording interfaces on a budget. Just a thought.

To get over that problem if you did in fact do something like that I would offer to buy 3 of these Tascam interfaces and donate them to that school you chose. I could just have it shipped right to you.

That would be 3 . Then there’s microphones and cables also. But I’m sure a lot of musicians would have equipment graveyards in their house and could scrape up something .There would be some technical/ equipment challenges but the school music teacher may even be a help organizing something that minimal equipment and training is required. They would provide PC and can use the free version of Reaper.

Imagine the kids feeling proud hearing a song they created , then Tof comes along and shreds leads all over it! It would blow their pre pubescent minds!
