Lately I'm finding it hard to open things like sealed food wraps, vitamin containers and bottle tops, but today it got really silly - I could not unscrew a cordial bottle, I tried using a cloth, tapping it, even using a knife to loosen the seal. Eventually I had to get an adjustable spanner (wrench) and clamp the bottle in a vice. As for my 'child proof' Vitamin D container, I pushed and twisted until my fingers ached.... in the end I had to find a man haha!

Good to hear you're getting the treatment you need Wade. (I don't know if treatment is the right word, but you know what I mean πŸ™‚).

It always takes me a hundred years to write one message like this. Every time I find words, that I'm not entirely sure about πŸ˜‚

Not a song yet but I did write some lyrics if anyone's interested :-

Screw Top Saga

I wanted a drink from an unopened bottle
Just one little screw top I had to remove
But when it stayed tight I wanted to throttle
whoever allowed such a kink in the groove

I gripped it and turned it but not a thing happened
I gave it more welly than I could impart
I shook it and hooked it and gave it a slap ...and
the damn thing resisted,.... there must be an art

So inside the tool box I thought I might find
something with torque like a wrench
It seemed a bit drastic but I didn't mind
I used the vice clipped to the bench

Now I wanted a drink even more than before
It was mango and passion fruit flavour
The only tool left was a dangerous saw
But to use that I'd have to be braver

Then I heard my front door chiming out a Ding Dong
and there stood a big burly gent
So to add a nice end to my bottle top song
.... he swiftly removed my torment

I thanked my new hero delivery Man
I offered to buy him a beer
But he said, with a smile, as if I was his Gran,
"I think that you loosened it Dear"

The streets have looked white with snow for a few days. The household had been sick since before Christmas and no-one had been out, but the illness had taken our appetite so the food had lasted. I didn't fancy going out for fear of slipping over, but the fridge, freezer and cupboard were almost empty so I knew I had to brave it out there.

It took ages to make myself weatherproof, coat, hat, gloves, scarf, strong shoes, padded to support my bad foot, a large shopping trolley and ironically, sun glasses. I had to search for cash too as I don't have my own card or phone.

It's only a 7 minute walk to the shop, but before that I had to negotiate the sloping drive.
Eventually I reached the pavement which was covered with snow that had frozen hard so my feet didn't sink into it at all. Each step I took, I slipped a little. I noticed the road looked black so I moved to that.... whooops, over I went.... it was black ice :o
That was enough for me so I crept back to the house, took off all my winter wrappings and decided that I'd have to live off baked beans, crisps, chocolate and water until the weather improved. What I'm missing most is milk so I can have a nice cup of tea.

One little snow fall and everything grinds to a halt in Britain, I think I'll move to Norway where they know how to handle this sort of thing :W<3

I have to admit that the winter in your video is completely accurate πŸ˜‚

Luckily, February is approaching. The sun is shining and it's cold outside. Then winter is a nice time.
That December winter in the video is really dark.

If you know the expression "From the sublime to the ridiculous" then you'll understand how I can write a serious poem about the 'Death of Humanity' followed by a comedy sketch about a 'Hen Party in Tossa de Mar' on the same day. I guess life is all about balance :D

Dear diary. I feel like a bad person, I changed the strings on my bass. This shows that I am not a real bass player, a professional would never do that.

My bass strings were only a little over a year old, way too young to leave the music world. 😭

To be honest, my band school continues tomorrow, it's nice play with an amplifier again. Also, I took lot of time to choose the bass strings I liked. It's fun to hear if I made the right choice.:W

I have a problem, I wonder is others have it! My input is better than my output. Let me explain.

I have quite good ears for listening to music. I usually know when something is 'off'
like *timing *flat notes *instrument sound or volume clashes. I can tell if people have breathing problems, no teeth, a blocked nose, a lisp, they're unfamiliar with the lyrics and so on :D

But I only hear faults in my own productions when I listen later. I can't hear my voice when I'm recording, all I have is a headset - it's very hard to sing with your ears covered..... try it :(

Also, I tend to rush to wikiloops as soon as I have a mixdown rather than going away then returning. I often remove uploads when I haven't checked them out properly. I guess I'm just a very impatient gal :)

I change my avatar more times than I change guitar strings, does that make me a bad person? I'm overdue by over a year on both tasks :o:D
