Really like Blue Oyster Cult. You can find many live performances from back in the day on their youtube channel. Really cool band :W

Do yourself a favor and look up their album “Heaven Forbid”. The cover art is aweful but the actual album is some of the best rock ever. It sat in my cd changer for 15 years always in rotation .It’s in my top ten greatest rock albums of all time. I consider it a masterpiece.

Every track on it they are on fire.
I’ve probably seen them eight times. They are considered one of the all time great live bands.

The guitar on this track is mind blowing . Ignore the bad album artwork….

Then there’s this ….This is FIRE!

This album is so underrated and should have won every rock award when it came out. It blew everything else out of the water as far as I’m concerned. It was probably the stupid album cover art that ruined its chances.

Good album, I have a copy of it. Not my favourite (Secret Treaties is the one for me), but there are some cool tunes on it. I have a version with two covers. They added a second cover to hide the atrocious one (which is kind of cheesy but fun) :

Here's an old classic. Mitchie (my wife) loves the series, we all love the instrument and the iconic main theme:

She's very good. I wonder if she learned at the feet of the master?

Not much of an Extreme fan but i really like this album. The raw production is just great. Kind of Led Zeppelin meets Van Halen meets Red Hot Chili Peppers and Rage Against The Machine with some grunge vibe too maybe. I know some Extreme fans don't like it because of that 90s alternative feel but to me it's their best album. And listen to the guitar solo on this cool track, it is excellent :W

So right eGiL - that's what I thought as well. Even if/when only playing a few notes like here you can still hear that he's a master player, and probably one of today's best session players around...

RIP Stefan Nilsson, keybordist and main composer for one of my favourite jazz fusion bands, Kornet. Here's some live footage from 1978 (The second tune at 6:56 is so good, so funky) :

Love that tune from his solo album, "Music for Music Lovers" released in 1983 :

What about this cool quirky tune with singer Tommy Korberg. I don't understand a word but this is fun! I think the guitar solo is played by Stefan Bjorklund (RIP), guitarist for Kornet :
