Hey everyone,
Since finishing my part-time studies, I now have a lot more resources to dedicate to music! We've found an amazing location for band rehearsals and recording, and I'm now having 4+ sessions a week, working on different projects, it's been so much fun! :)
Our goal is to create songs from scratch and release them on major platforms. Aside from mastering, we'll handle all the production phases ourselves.
My role has turned into something similar to that of a music producer, and I’m really enjoying it. I manage the sessions, provide structure, help develop musical ideas, give feedback, lead recording sessions, and do the mixing.
The more I do it, the more I realize just how complex it is to turn an idea into a finished song but it’s also incredibly interesting and rewarding.

Now, to my question (sorry for the long intro! haha): What’s your experience with songwriting? How do you approach a project like this, and what does your process look like? Would anyone be willing to share some best practices or tips? :)

Sounds exciting eothen! :W:W

I don't really have any tips, other than just believe in your vision. Producers usually have that vision and may make adjustments, tweaks, etc. Be prepared for conflict, as sometimes the artists/players may not agree, but they came to you for a reason, they need to believe in that reason/vision. If these are live bands, go out and see them, how they perform the songs (crowd, adrenaline levels, peaks/valleys, everything). Don't be afraid to try something new/different. And just be the amazing you that you are!

So on to my very important question, does that mean we won't get many tracks from you here on the loops? J/K, I wish you all the best eothen, and do drop us some stuff on here when you have time. Would also love to hear any of your finished work too :W:W
