Your playing is lovely. less sure about the words and singing behind which (for me) distracts from your beautiful playing.
Probably just my thing, but maybe shared by some? To me instrumental music has unfathomable depth. You can hear it and dream whatever meanings and feelings you want. When words are put on top they define what you hear. The music becomes flat, two dimensional instead of three dimensional. It's not like those voices were people here who heard the music and interpreted it in their own way. It's a found add on.
Sorry, this "gripe" has found it way on to your post. It's been bugging me for years. When the art is just assemblage that's OK. When you are making beautiful music and then toss this on top, it defeats the beauty (for my ears).
OK, enough. Bottom line: love your playing, but dislike superfluous vocal adds. +2

I'm with you on this, Wade, to a certain extent. At first the vocals were interesting and could suggest what a real singer might do with the song, but it's kind of "unreal" - the vocalist is not really responding and remixing, so it's un-wikiloops in that sense. But others may find it interesting, although Kai doesn't seem to reach as wide an audience as many other musicians on WL.
Having said that, always look out for the bass without vocals remix which Kai usually provides as well, perhaps for the likes of me and you :D #287421 +2

I've been watching and listening to your tracks from the beginning. Your improvement from novice to now being an extremely proficient player is amazing. However you have partly caused your "stigma". Many hundreds of tracks posted continuously that were just your trying to practice had made it so that others tuned out. Everybody's time is precious. Who wants/needs to hear someone practicing? The tracks didn't need to be posted back for you to get what you needed from them (lots of practice). The result is that you are now a very fine player, but carry the stigma of others ignoring you instead of trying to listen.
We each play a part. There is no need to finish a track by stuffing it with things you hope will attract attention, especially if they aren't listening anyway.
Fisshinmiso (Mark) suffered from the same stigma. He posted lots of tracks that were practices better left out, but didn't. The result was that nobody listened after a while.
I'm not a great player, but have my own style (as do you!) and only post a maximum of 2 tracks a week. I'm also a good listener and am interested in what others play, which means that I give a lot of thumbs and comments. This is also a social site where we communicate with each other...often via a translator. Simple truths? Simple cures? +2

Thanks for speaking the truth as you see it, Wade, it's interesting about track overload. I miss a couple of days and there are too many tracks to listen to, so I pick at random and miss others. I've cut down the number of musicians I follow too. It's hard finding a balance.
Kai, you're right, posting your acapellas is not un-wikiloops, you're learning how to be a mixer and producer as well as musician.
Finding the balance is something we all strive for, I think it's in-built, so we learn and evolve and I really appreciate both of you, Kai and Wade, for your great, often inspirational, playing. <3<3:Y:W +2

Wikiloops is an amazing platform to experiment with the styles of music that I never have had the opportunity to vocalize with. Thanks to all the excellent musicians/producers, the sound quality of the tracks are spectacular.
