Chord template with mute strings under bridge in the Harley Benton Fusion T. For this reason, the tuning is slightly altered towards 447 MHz in case you want to tune your instrument this way and play here without sounding "strange".😉🙏 Muting the strings produces a peculiar sound....

Nicely odd! I don't know if it's possible to tune to this... maybe? +1

GlezBass Placing the mute at the bridge slightly shortens the string length and therefore its pitch. On a stringed instrument, it's very easy to tune to 447 Hz with a tuner, but I don't think so on a wind instrument; although digitally it is... you just have to retune the recorded audio from 440 Hz to 447 Hz. I mentioned this so as not to frustrate loopers who might feel out of tune if they play here.;) +1

ulfberth May I ask ?
After placing foam can you tune guitar to concert pitch ? By ear if strings are too muted for a tuner. My alto sax and clarinet can be tuned by moving the neck slightly to change the volume of the air column. I’ll have to try if I can get to 447hz.

Wade Caution: Saxes are designed for A 440 unless specified something other than "low pitch". That means that the whole instrument has correct intonation at 440 Hz = A. If above or below that the spacing for the tone holes is incorrect as only the mouthpiece is shortening or lengthening the tube and not the space between keys. Mario gave a good hint how to over come this. You can download the track and then change the tuning back to down 440. I wouldn't try to play at 447 as I'd be trying to match the pitch or be hearing myself playing out of tune the whole time in order to later adjust it up to 447. Chances are I'd still be out of tune as I couldn't hear effectively/precisely how out of tune I am. Playing in tune on a sax is about using your ears to give effective feedback continually. Without that you're always going to be somewhat out of tune.

If you're talking about an electronic/ersatz instrument, then I have no idea what's possible. Maybe easy?

ulfberth Thanks. Yes I'm aware of the intonation, but thought it would be ok with this quite incremental pitch change. As you point out; players tune constantly - same on the guitar. Slight pressure change and bend makes it sing as compared to the flat touch. Not blues pitch changes necessarily, more subtle.
I have a Bandoneon that needs tuning. That is a project ! I've done it successfully, but a lot of effort is needed. You file the reeds. Makes piano tuning seem easy. Interestingly Bandoneons are tuned 442-445 makes stand out in the mix.
In this case tune after foam insert or go into settings in your digital instrument.

GlezBass Ulf, the answer is yes; of course you can retune the guitar after putting the mute in, and then it would be at 440 Hz... it's just that I forgot to do it in this jam and that's why I warned other loopers so they wouldn't be disappointed with their tuning. The correct thing to do would be to tune to 440 Hz with the mute in. +1

ulfberth Lost one day to dealing with my Gas Company. Now today I looked into the tuning of this session. Added a quick improv that is tuned to 440hz. #339144 +1
