The Wednesday Word Jam (Paranormal Activity ?)

I believe in science, and I am convinced there are no such things as "Paranormal Activity" - we just have things we don't (yet) understand but surely one day we will.

Regarding your dream, many many times I had a dream where some machine, animal or object was making noises, sometimes repeating and nagging, and when I finally woke up it turns out it was the bloody alarm clock that had been on snooze :o :D

So I guess maybe there was a noise on the outside that crept into your dream as a bell...maybe a car horn, by the time you got up and looked out of the window it was gone...

P.S. I don't keep a phone anywhere near my bedroom, I don't want any vibrations, noises, calls to disturb my beauty sleep and creep into my dreams.

I'm more with TeeGee on this, I always think there's an explanation of some sort, although I have had some odd things happen. Lost a loved one several years ago, had the doorbell ring at an odd hour of the night (a couple of days after the passing), nobody around. light emitting from corners when blinds are closed and the topic of conversation was about that person. very odd and peculiar things :)

I'm pretty sure the mind is capable of much more than we understand - the evidence can be seen in the weird things that happen during substance abuse (drugs) I also feel we can bring on illness or cure it with mind control sometimes.

On the "doorbell" puzzle I realised that ours is a buzz not a ring so I must have imagined it. However, 9 years ago The doorbell really rang in the early hours and it was the police telling me that both my parents were in hospital after a fire at their house. My father died a few days later and my Mother was homeless... so that was quite traumatic ; maybe the doorbell sound is reminding me of that night, but I don't think about it in my waking hours at all.

Or maybe did something made you do it?

And yes, the human brain has a lot of abilities that we are not using, or using and not knowing/understanding, some are parts that are left over from evolution that we are not using anymore that might not be needed (but maybe could be re-activated). A lot of what people perceive as "wonder" might be instincts that we (used to) have but do not understand. A simple example might be why do we love some people instantly and dislike some people at first sight without them doing anything to us? I guess it is related to pheromones / smells or other "signals" they are sending to our brain (face expression, shape of face, etc.)?

Learning something new got me to wonder about this.
If we are self aware living creatures made of mass/fleah. Couldn’t there be self aware living creatures of energy/spirit?
