I have always wanted to create a Concept Album, in its intrinsic meaning, and this desire has been fully realized at least three times with my three friends Xavi, Dirk and David. H.H. -Headless Horsemen - have made eighteen albums together in WL to date and of these, number 9 "Le Fables di Aesop", number 10 "Maze" and number 12 "Come meet the band" I believe can fully enter into the literal definition of Concept. So thanks to my band friends and especially thanks to WL, I can say that my wish has fully come true and probably will again.

Hello, after having played in several groups since 1985, I wanted to extend my musical activity by developing a site. A little tired of the experiences of these groups and especially approaching a certain age, continuing with a testimony of this past seemed to me that this formula was the best. My first steps began in April 2016 with the help of the Wix platform. But it is difficult to make people think that this is not a narcissistic approach. So subscribing to Facebook, my idea was to personalize exchanges with others without having the excesses and voyeurism of this social network. I must admit that it is a difficult undertaking because visitors do not linger and many drop out after a few minutes. Besides, it is the same on YouTube as it is almost everywhere on the web. Aware that we cannot captivate everyone, I take it with humor.
Since 2021, I discovered WL and fully subscribed some time ago. Reconnecting with real musicians is a very enriching experience. My site will be used to archive the collaborations in which I will participate. It is understood that not everything is visible to just anyone, but can be revealed by becoming a member of the site to preserve a certain anonymity.
If anyone is interested, I'm not selling anything and it's free. I am only interested in your assessments or criticisms or even your participation.

I'm sitting on the train and listening to songs that I've been able to play along with. Maybe I don't always appreciate what I've created, but I know how happy I am to have found this site. My bass would be gathering dust in the corner of the living room if I hadn't gotten excited about Wikiloops.

A civilized person would have greeted everybody right away, but a shy Finn does it like this after a year. I may look like angry in picture, but don't be afraid. I'm a really kind guy. This is great first step to playing with real band. Thank you all.

I didn't realise how nice and modest wikiloopers are (not all of course) So many are just happy to be here, to fit in and play a small part in some great mixes. You have found musicians here to look up to, to learn from and collaborate with - what a great 'school' of music WL is, no competition, much encouragement, teamwork, homework.... and at some point a chance to 'graduate' with honors :)

So, concept albums are top of the wish list, a great project to get into and with a theme running through, I love that idea. But don't dismiss symphonies, they don't have to be Classical in the traditional meaning. There are some wonderful Rock and Pop symphonies, you just have to add an orchestral element to support the rock riffs ... and that means instruments that many wikiloopers play here, violin/cello, sax, flute, harp etc. A meeting of modern and traditional is a very interesting concept.

Enjoy little triumphs wherever you find them, it's amazing how good you feel if you try something outside your comfort zone, if it doesn't work out, no big deal, just move on to the next idea. Thank you :)

great questions Shamika, it's made me realize i've never really had any musical aspirations or expectations. every musical experience is a surprise and a pleasure to participate in :W although owning a music venue would be cool, i'd probably enjoy watching/listening to the talent than the actual day-to-day of it :)

Composing a symphony? Done it, all written down but will never get to hear it played.
On the other hand, creating something symphonic out of different Wikiloops tracks is certainly on the agenda.

What do you mean by mastering a NEW instrument? I`m still working out how to use the 2nd string on the bass and wondering what the black keys on my keyboards are for.

Concept album...the idea is there, alas the time....

Musical, not my thing...although I do wonder how Dick got Queen to let him use the We Will Rock You title. Always thought that that musical was what Wikiloops was all about.

Music venue...is one of the ideas for retirement age.

The only two aspirations I really have at the moment is the Erniefication project (becoming as good as him by 2186) and - let`s be serious for a moment - to do some in-depth work on tracks instead of simply adding something.
