Most of us are not proffesional musicians and playng music as hobby. At same time it is interesting how music which we listen, like and play, develop and forming our youth, our behaviour, our psychological status, our day to day wellbeing and health status. Hope this is not deep philosophy but thinking.

Music helps me to hold mentally (I have multiple sclerosis), it’s the little thing (big thing) in addition to life for me. A bit like a small gift that arrived unintentionally. It doesn’t improve my health condition but it brings a little glow in the night.
I hope I didn’t weigh down your post. 😁

I am deaf since birth.
I have never heard music.
Explain it to me.

(Dont bother as its like asking "What is life?".)
It is the only subject in the world that you cannot describe to someone whos never heard it. You can explain "music theory" but never "what is music."
You can only "experience" music.

It is known factor that deaf people senses are much more then rest of people. Of course they have their way to accept and make music. In past i read case study of Oxford University for Deaf culture .There are deaf musicians as Evelyn Glennie, Chris Martin and of course Ludwig Van Beethoven which are example for same. So music is inside of everyone of us and finding path via our soul.

I believe in the power of music because it can change my mood, my outlook on life and my mental health, which in turn helps me to deal with physical health problems.

Music blesses me twice because I can create and put together sounds that relax and comfort a listener. When it's done, I am the listener, I have a recording to play whenever I need to capture that feeling again.

A bonus is that other people can be helped by what I have produced.

I'm posting an example of how different aspects of sound/music (and visuals) can engulf you, slow you down and leave you 'cleansed' Music brings peace via the ears (and eyes) to the mind and body. Music is the master/mistress of the soul.

* There is no sound at all as the video starts. The plane was traveling home viewing St Malo coves below.
* The waves were filmed by me in Dinard, France.

In music I like the aspect of action, movement, integration of mental and body, and building bridges.
