Everyone knows that I like a good cup of coffee. It's a subject worth talking about. Let's hear your coffee stories, coffee experiences, coffee songs. In the spirit of wikiloops I will even allow Decaff and hot beverages made of weird nuts and seeds. Cat poo coffee is cool, too ☕😂

Note: I always buy bean and try and grind the day of.
This is my favorite coffee, dark roast beans - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0086164KA/
I found this coffee many years ago at a Grocery Outlet. I immediately fell in love with the taste. We've been drinking it for maybe over 10 years now. I prefer a drip coffee pot with a paper filter, setting set for "bold". We've tried other ways, those wire mesh filters don't do it any justice. I've used it for espresso and it's good as well, but making some espresso latte's is a lot of work.
That being said I try many different coffee's throughout the year, just to see if I run across anything I really like. I was making some Turkish coffee a few months back, had purchased Serj Tankian's autographed trio here - https://kavatcoffee.com/products/kavat-trio-and-tote-coffee-bag-set-signed-by-serj-tankian
as well as some via Amazon here - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000BTIHBO
Both make a nice different style of coffee.
A week or two ago I was surprised at the no-nonsense just straight-forward taste of this local coffee - https://vylncoffee.com/products/vyln-blend
I was at a local baseball game and they had a booth so I'm always welcome to try something new. Like I said, it was just a nice cup of coffee. I do try and support local businesses, so I ended up grabbing 2 bags of beans.
I visited my mom maybe 2 years ago when she was in Arkansas, again, I always try and look for coffee wherever I go. Came across this roasting company and their Mexico Dark bean - https://www.arsagas.com/shop/p/guatemala-dark-y7kha
I grabbed some bags because it was another great tasting cup of Joe.
I've tried so many over the years, some because they were local or small companies, and some because I stumbled across a booth or a local shop.
Many years ago, I would go to this local coffee shop because I loved their latte's, they have since gone away, but I believe they would use both Stumptown - https://www.stumptowncoffee.com/collections/coffee and Intelligentsia - https://www.intelligentsia.com/collections/espresso for their espresso. I believe the the Intelligentsia was Black Cat.
The only sort of coffee story I have has to do with cigars. I don't really smoke cigars but I went into a cigar shop once and was looking for a cigar to smoke (we were going to be doing a boys night of whiskey, cigars, and poker). They guy who worked there asked me what I was looking for, I was honest and said I don't really know, I'm not a cigar smoker. He asked if I drank coffee. I answered most definitely yes. He asked how I liked my coffee and what kind of coffee style I drank. I told him dark roast but always with cream, usually a vanilla cream. Somewhat sweet but not overly sweet. He walked me into the humidor room and selected a cigar for me. I gotta say, it was a hell of a good smoke, semi-sweet, mild and not strong.
