Creating the sounds of Nature

Many Classical composers drew inspiration from the Natural World. Modern composers still do that, the difference now is the use of samples, recordings of water, birds, thunder, wind etc.
Have any wikiloopers tried to interpret the sounds of Nature with their instruments?
If you post a link here please tell us your inspiration. How did you create a sound from nature or compose a song that takes us to a beautiful natural place?

2023 i was really eager to capture nature calming sounds. I where hiking each week and searching for lauschige places in the forest and grass lands and creeks. I am excited about stereo recordings and so I enjoyed making this one which acts as therapy whenever I am in the mood :) I own a small Zoom H6 mobile recorder which is very nice for this. Earlier I read about John Cage's music "way" and found it very interesting. He's a randomness enthusiast: in short - take the human subjectivity and will out of the plan to create real "music" by random. If I understood it right. He called it universal music I think.

I did the same thing.
I remember chopping up this track to make it longer. It had a dreamlike quality to it and I thought it needed a swirling outro the listener gets lost in .
Marmotte had bird sound effects at the beginning and it fit the theme of the track so when I extended it ,I used Marceys remix before her vocals so I lost her bird sound effects.
To keep the theme of the birds singing , I went to my backyard and recorded the bird sounds from 3:48 onward right from my window using two microphones in stereo.
I could have used generic bird sounds and its less work but I always have to personalize everything so I recorded my back yard and just pasted it on the outro of the track to keep Marmottes theme.
So everything before 3:48 are Marmottes bird sounds anything after are my backyard. I dont know where Marmotte got her bird sound effects.
I used two condensor mics in stereo. One an Audio Technica AT2020 the other AKG P170 aimed 45 degrees left and right and just set them up on mic stands aimed right out my windows, facing the back yard on a sunny saturday morning.

I would love to capture the sounds of an owl. I hear them all the time at night.

Thank you Hartmut and LittleWing. <3<3
I wanted to post this one where the Navota's flute becomes a bird in the middle when a real bird couldn't be captured. [wl]193758[/wl]

when i think of instruments sounding like nature, Carlomac usually did a trick or two that always reminded me of birds or a baby pterodactyl in this case :)
1:15 mark, the baby pterodactyl cries out :)

Yep I tried that myself on a couple of tracks, one of which is "Whales in the ocean playing guitar" #47296 , I used real whale sounds with the guitar mimicking these. I am actually quite proud of this one as at least to my old ears it was pretty good. One of the things I did was to slowly increase the tone settings of the Strat while I was playing along, so the sound was getting angrier and angrier as the song progressed. Anyways, have a listen, 1:30 for instance but actually all through the track there are small bits and pieces:

They say the violin is the instrument that most closely resembles the human voice (which, it turns out, can imitate animals).
So I've often tried excerpts: seagulls, waves #130378, whales #129983 or #184319, the cat #259948 ... then the human voice #156773 #321021 ... and I must have forgotten others.
